For over 11 years, this casual seafood bar and grill, owned by Mike Ferreio and Frank Porro, has repeatedly drawn in customers who can’t stay away from the fresh menu, drink concoctions and friendly staff.
Both inside and outside on the patio, nautical elements combine with sports themes to create an inviting atmosphere that encourages lingering. And while you linger, sip a mojito, a sweet, limey, minty medley that Catch of the Day does just right. Food here is done just right, too. Try appetizer platters that combine the best of everything, or seafood ceviche with crispy plantains, both wonderful ways to dive in. Creamy, dreamy lobster bisque and the raw bar with oysters and clams (50¢ each, all day Monday – Thursday) are also sure to please.
The daily specials are the chef’s unique creation. Each day the executive chef conjures up a unique selection ensuring that there will always be a new experience each time you visit. Nothing steals the spotlight here quite like the flying crispy whole red snapper, a phenomenal melding of the crispy textured skin and soft, flavorful fish that flakes right off the bone. Sautéed spinach goes beautifully with this heavenly dish.
Landlubbers have plentiful options too with prime cuts of New York strip, churrasco, baby back ribs and Angus burgers. Desserts like coconut flan, made by Mike’s sister, Ynes, are a tropical treat for the taste buds and are the ideal way to complement this perfect catch.
