The plan was to open up a restaurant that blended the flavors that folks in the hip and happening Brickell area would like so the result was to create classic Japanese rolls with a fusion of Latin flavors. And so the concept of Zen Sushi Lounge was born.
The restaurant’s interior, with its brown and olive tones and candles throughout, truly gives a spa-like feel and so serving healthy fare like sushi is the perfect combination. The light-colored seating area by the entrance also helps to set the tone.
The owners and their sushi chef all have extensive experience preparing this type of food and so offer a wide variety of rolls as well as cooked items like teriyaki and Thai influenced noodle dishes. What’s interesting is the use of jalapenos, jicama and chipotle mostly ingredients seen in Mexican food, blended into the Asian cuisine.
Overall, the innovative blend of flavors provides a unique dining experience for folks looking to expand their horizons and try something new and different.
They’ve also got a wide selection of sake and unique sake cocktails alongside several choices of wine and beer.
